Personal Statement

I specialize in working with people of color, LGBTQ+ wellness, and relationship issues including family and interpersonal conflicts. I also have expertise with addressing depression, anxiety, women's issues, trauma, addiction recovery, anger management, life transitions, and career/existential fulfillment. I have worked with many university students as a former academic advisor and counselor, and understand the stressors related to higher education and post-graduate expectations. Finding a therapist with whom you connect with can be hard. Please feel free to click on my website for more information about my practice.

As a gay person of color, I (He/Him) understand there are many sensitivities that can be overlooked by society at large - including intergenerational pressures, conflicting gender roles and expectations, and intersectional identities and tensions. Understanding these nuances, I strive to be open, respectful, and empathic with all peoples.

I come from a client-centered background that creates an environment that is comfortable, non-judgmental, and empathetic. I mostly work from a psychodynamic approach that emphasizes the development of relationship awareness and patterns to each other. I also use CBT and DBT informed approaches to address short term goals.Cost per Session: $95 - $140
