Sukhi Micro-Task Challenge
Quote of the Day
“Criticism, like rain, should be gentle enough to nourish a man’s growth without destroying his roots.”
- Frank A. Clark
Here is your task for today:
We all have experiences where we could help a colleague improve in some aspect of their work. This activity is to help you frame critical feedback in a less threatening manner. Schedule an opportunity now where you could give a colleague feedback today. During that conversation, first give many examples of what you like about the person's work. Then ask them if you could share one area where their contribution could be stronger. If they say yes then tell them that area. If they say no, ask them when they would be open to that discussion.
The science behind today’s task:
A recent study of over twenty thousand leaders showed that strong team engagement is built on honest feedback. Those leaders who were in the top 10% for giving feedback saw team engagement scores average 77 percent. Click here to learn more.
